The Park Station complex includes: retail shops and convenience stores, multiple fast food outlets and a food court, ATMs from FNB, Absa, Standard Bank and Capitec, a pharmacy, public toilets, luggage storage (confirm availability on arrival), a police station (SAPS), private security throughout, a taxi rank for metered and minibus taxis, and Park-and-Ride parking.

OPENING HOURS

The main Park Station concourse operates from approximately 05:00 to 22:00 daily. The Gautrain has its own operating schedule (approximately 05:30–20:30 on weekdays). Bus operators maintain their own office and departure hours. Overnight long-distance coaches may depart or arrive outside standard concourse hours.

GETTING TO PARK STATION

By car: From the north (Sandton, Pretoria), take the N1 South and exit at Rissik Street. From the south (Vereeniging), take the N1 North. Park Station is well-signposted from all major CBD approach roads.
 
By Gautrain: Take the Gautrain to Park Station – the southernmost station on the network.
 
By minibus taxi: The Noord Street taxi rank, within walking distance of the station, connects to every corner of greater Johannesburg.
 
By Uber or Bolt: Both services operate throughout Johannesburg. Use the in-app navigation to reach Park Station.
 
On foot: From the CBD, Park Station is a 5–15 minute walk north along Rissik Street. From Braamfontein, it is 3–5 minutes.

SAFETY AT PARK STATION

Inside the main station complex, security presence is strong with SAPS police and private security guards stationed throughout operating hours. The complex also has CCTV throughout.
 
The streets immediately surrounding the station – particularly to the north and east – require greater caution. Travellers should keep valuables out of sight, avoid the surrounding streets after dark, use Uber or Bolt instead of walking at night, and travel to and from the station with purpose and awareness.
